Scotland Shetland Wool Week

Our yearly trips to Scotland and Shetland Wool Week have consistently showcased the vibrant culture and artistry of the region. Each journey has been filled with engaging workshops led by talented local artisans, where participants have learned traditional techniques such as Fair Isle and lace knitting. The hands-on experiences have allowed travelers to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Shetland wool, fostering creativity and skill development.

Each trip begins in the lovely mainland of Scotland, where we explore the marvelous scenery, and extensive cultural and textile history of various regions. Then we head to Shetland, the highlight of every trip. From the dramatic cliffs of Eshaness to the serene beaches of St. Ninian's Isle, the islands' natural beauty has provided a breathtaking backdrop for our adventures. Guided tours through charming villages and visits to local markets have offered insights into the unique culture and history of the region, making the experience even more enjoyable for everyone involved.

The camaraderie built among travelers has been a key aspect of these trips. Shared meals featuring local cuisine, evenings filled with music and storytelling, and the joy of crafting together have created lasting connections.
