Our visit to Norway showcased the rich culture and breathtaking landscapes of this incredible country as we traveled from Oslo, to Balestrand, finishing in Bergen.

The stunning scenery of Norway was a standout feature of the adventure.  Beauty abounded as we traveled through mountain ranges and beautiful fjords.  Another highlight was the rich textile heritage - we learned lots with a private lecture on the history of the Bunad at the Norsk Folkemuseum in Oslo, with private tours of the Textile History Museum and the family run Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk yarn mill, as well as tours of both  Dale of Norway and their famous Olympic sweaters and the ever glamorous Oleana – so much fun, and shopping!

Our hotels were beautiful and so accommodating, with the Bristol Hotel in Oslo and Kviknes in Balestrand being our favorites – we didn’t want to leave!

And as always, the friendships formed among travelers were a cherished aspect of the trip.
