On the Whalsay Ferry
Marci Richardson, a lifelong fiber artist specializing in knitting, crochet, spinning, rug-hooking, and weaving, opened the Elegant Ewe knitting shop in 1998 in downtown Concord, NH. Prior to that, she travelled the U.S. as an Emergency Room/Trauma Room Nurse. Marci is a knitwear designer and teacher and it is from the inspiration of her many beloved students that she teamed up with Amy Goldstein to start Elegant Ewe Travel. Amy is a long-time knitter and knitting teacher and sometime designer who has the same wanderlust as Marci and eagerly joined with Marci to organize and arrange fiber-themed tours. Amy is a retired attorney who is lucky enough to make her passion her work with the start of Elegant Ewe Travel.
